Hat das mit den Links aus Envs nicht funktioniert? Sonst muss man die alle nochmal ersetzen wenn wir live gehen

Hat nicht funktioniert.
Es gibt Möglichkeiten auf ENV Vars in Markdown zuzugreifen, allerdings nur über JS.
Das geht aber nicht z.B. auf der Index Page wo Links als Parameter an das Theme übergeben werden.

Eine Lösung mit ENV Vars wäre daher inkonsistent.
